There are two types of telecommunications operators in Portugal: mobile operators with their own network (OMR) and virtual mobile operators (OMV).

This was our option when we spent the season from Dec/18 to Jan/19. Because there was no need for fidelity, activation of the simple chip, satisfactory amount of data for the use of applications, such as Google Maps, among other advantages. We were pleased and it worked flawlessly throughout our stay.

We came to the conclusion that it is more advantageous for those who will reside in Portugal, to purchase the complete package (TV, Net, Voice and Mobile). However, we emphasize that we must pay attention to issues of fidelity and the type of network (optical fiber, satellite and ADSL) to be contracted. Thus avoiding unpleasant surprises.
We still haven't defined what our option will be because we don't know in which place for sure we will reside, and consequently which option has all the services available.
