Can I tell you my story?

My name is Camila Pires, I have a degree in Administration and Tourism and for now I travel for leisure (for now, lol). It all started with encouragement from family and friends. I plan and study trips as a hobby… That's how @travelsdamila came about, with itineraries, tips about my trips, photos (authors) and register with my point of view! 😊

Speaking of point of view, I'm here to tell you one of my last experiences…#eurotrip (there were 2 countries in Europe, so it's worth it, right?)! It was a 15-day trip through Madrid (Toledo), Porto and Lisbon (a city darling ♥).

On the downside (let's start with the worst), the Spanish culture shocked me. Arriving at the airport, it took almost 45 minutes to get information about stopping and requesting Uber. Weird? Yes, because NO ONE wanted to give information, like “I don’t speak portuguese” (but I hadn't even started talking, lol). I thought it was pure bad luck, but I came across this situation several times while I was in Madrid! 🙁 They only respond if they speak Spanish and English, apart from these… they don't make a point of trying to understand. It's okay, I understand it could be cultural, but it was a gigantic shock like: expectation x reality.

Now the good points? They are sooooooooo! I'm going to keep selling Lisbon (and I don't even make #money with it). It was my 2nd visit and years in a row (love level). Taking into account the friendliness of our "primxs", I think the city is well structured, organized and fair prices. I found as a point of peace, a place called “LxFactory”. It is a historic industrial complex that was abandoned. In 2005, the works and transformations began, in which it currently houses several design, arts and advertising companies. As well as shops, restaurants and bookstores. Thus, since 2008 this abandoned region has become a great tour option for all ages, tastes and cultures.
