The Website of the Embassy of Portugal in Brazil through a note published September 23, 2021, informed that COVID-19 certificates, of national citizens who have a Citizen Card with address in Portugal, are holders of a user number of the National Health System and who have been vaccinated in third countries with vaccines approved by the EMA, may request from the Health Centre of the area of residence (according to the address in Portugal that appears on the Citizen Card) the transcription of these vaccination acts in the e-vaccines (https://vacinas.pt), in order to be able to access the issuance of the European Union vaccination certificate.
Citizens who meet the aforementioned requirements must present the document proving vaccination, and it must be authenticated by the competent authorities of the country where the vaccines were administered. In possession of the respective document, they should contact their Health Centre in Portugal, via email, to register the vaccine. After this registration, it will be possible to apply for the issuance of an EU COVID Digital Certificate by common means, and it is also available (without requiring a request) in the SNS24 application.
