Did you know that the Azorean Oriental newspaper is the oldest newspaper in Portugal and is among the ten oldest in the world?! It was founded on April 18, 1835, in a period that corresponds to a golden moment of journalism at national and international level. And which newspaper does it lead?! Well, the leadership in the daily press continues to belong to Correio da Manhã (88,405 copies), a title that, however, saw its paid circulation reduced by 12,492 copies (12.38%). In the second position is Jornal de Notícias, which sold an average of 46,632 copies (-3,938 copies), and in the third, Público, with 17,850 (-875). The segment of the general information journals closes with the Diário de Notícias, which registered sales in the order of 10,579 copies (-1,622). This data was published in the Portuguese Print Club on November 28, 2019. And speaking of magazines, there are several magazines on the newsstands on the most varied topics, and those that deal with social life issues that have more readers. Of these, the New People, Faces, Lux, VIP and Flash are the best sellers. But that's a subject for another article.
