TRAVEL INSURANCE | Special plan covering quarantine

We have something new for you! Seguros Promo, together with the insurance company Assist Card, is providing a special plan for passengers who need to quarantine during international travelling.


That's right. The plan is the Covid-19 QUARANTINE AC, an additional coverage that includes expenses related to quarantine in the destination country. Among the expenses, hotel rates and rebooking of air tickets are included.


Here are some details foreseen in the policy:

  • Reimbursement of expenses such as tariff difference or fine for changing the date of airfare.

  • Accommodation expenses within 10 days.

  • If the passenger is alone or is obliged to extend his stay due to the result of the Covid-19 examination, he may use the transfer or stay of a family member, in case of medical recommendation.


Coverage is intended for those who need to undergo Covid-19 tests to return to Brazil. If the test, carried out within 72 hours before boarding, is positive, the tourist must fulfil the quarantine until he performs a new test with a negative result.


This is an optional product, which can be purchased on the Seguros Promo website or through the call centre (31) 4000-1667 or WhatsApp (31) 2534-2115.





How do I take out my travel insurance?


Contacting your insurer's 24-hour Call Centre is a necessary condition for using any assistance from the contracted policy.

When you take out your insurance, you receive a policy, the official document from the insurer with information about your plan. In it, you can find a contact number. If you need to trigger insurance, you can call your insurer at any time and request the assistance you need.




Some insurers offer service by Skype, WhatsApp or their own application, in addition to the phone and/or email. To facilitate the localisation of contact channels, a primer with the insurance company's emergency contact list and some guidelines for international calls are sent to you with the policy.

In contact with the insurer, you will need to inform the address where you are at the time of the accident, your CPF or policy number, a telephone or email to contact abroad, information about what happened (e.g. PIR for loss of luggage, or symptoms in case of medical occurrence), among other data.

🔔 Remember: If you are attended by a provider indicated by the insurer, always inform the address of the insurer in your enrolment in the hospital, clinic or office. This will prevent you from receiving invoices that must be paid by the insurer after the end of your trip.
