Who is entitled to Portuguese Nationality?

Did you know that through the surname it is not possible to obtain Portuguese Nationality? It's a shame! Because my last name is Rosas, uncommon in Brazil, and very common in Portugal. To obtain Portuguese Citizenship we need to be a descendant of Portuguese and obtain the birth certificate (birth certificate) of the relative in Portugal. The process is similar to topic 2, but with different article and requirements. *It is necessary to prove link with Portugal; 10 - Nationality Conservation: Born in a former Portuguese colony when it still belonged to Portugal. To apply for it, it is necessary to be a child or grandchild of a Portuguese national (by birth or by assignment) and to have been born on a date prior to the proclamation of independence of that former colony, that is, while that country still belonged to Portugal.
