We advise Portuguese citizens who are still in the city to stay sheltered and not try to leave for now.
We advise Portuguese citizens to leave Ukraine through land borders with the European Union.
Portugal's diplomatic representations in Bucharest, Warsaw, Budapest and Bratislava are ready to provide support to all national citizens arriving in these countries, from which the evacuation to Portugal will be prepared.
To this end, it is advisable that the exit from Ukraine be made through the following border crossing points:
Ukraine-Romania border crossing points
Halmeu/Sighetu Marmatiei, Siret, Isaccea
The remaining crossing points are between Moldova and Romania (MDA-RO), and are open 24 hours:
Stânca, Iasi, Sculeni, Albita, Galati
There is also another MDA-RO border post open only until 8:00 pm local time:
Radauti Prut (Nordeste da Roménia)

Road access to the border: the fastest and best quality road leading to the border post:

It will be advisable to carry water, food, warm clothes and reserve fuel with you if you travel in your own car. You should also have your identification and travelling documents with you.
Consular Emergency Office
The Consular Emergency Office (GEC) aims to provide consular support, in emergency situations, to nationals who are abroad, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and should only be contacted in emergency situations, such as serious accidents, sudden disappearances, natural disasters or disturbances of public order that occur with national citizens.
