The Carris de Ferro de Lisboa Company (C.C.F.L., CCFL, or simply Carris) is a public passenger transport company in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It was founded in 1872, and has been supervised since 1975 by the Secretary of State for Public Works, Transport and Communications dependent on the Ministry of Economy (and diachronic equivalents). Since February 1, 2017, the management of Carris has been supervised by the Lisbon City Council.

Carris' bus network has 745 buses.
Electrics
Carris has a fleet of 48 electric cars.
Ascensores / Elevators
Carris also operates three elevators (Glória, Bica, and Lavra) and a vertical elevator - Santa Justa. Since 2002, these modes of transport have been National Monuments.
FREE Public Transport
Free public transport is one of the main measures to be implemented in Lisbon, with the aim of encouraging the use of public transport to all residents of Lisbon, aged 65 years or older; young people aged between 13 and 23 years; higher education students up to 23 years old. In the case of Higher Education students enrolled in the Medicine and Architecture courses, up to and including the age of 24.
This Lisbon measure is part of the goals of Environmental Sustainability, combatting Climate Change and improving People's Mobility, through the promotion of efficient, economically and environmentally sustainable mobility.

Carris Museum
The Lisbon Railway Company Museum is a very interesting museum. It shows well the past, present and future of Lisbon's public transport. In it we can observe thematic exhibitions with the most diverse cultural events. It is in the parish of Alcântara, a region that provides a range of important sights in Lisbon such as the Museu do Oriente, the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, the Museu dos Coches, the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Cultural Centre of Belém. The Museum is located at Santo Amaro Station, where all the trams in Lisbon are located.
The Carris Museum was opened in 1999 by the then President of the Republic, Jorge Sampaio, and is an integral part of the Lisbon Railway Carris Company. It exhibits vehicles, models and documents and everyday objects that tell the history of public transport in the capital of Lisbon.
It leads us on a journey through time, through rare documents and objects made available to you: reports, photographs, uniforms, transport tickets, workshop equipment, trams, buses, etc. The coolest thing is that we can start the trip with a virtual trip.
