Quiça! - Brazilian cuisine

Quiçá!, A very different name where quiçá Refers to an idea of "tomara" and "maybe yes", an imaginary and typical and transversally Brazilian expressions that intends to remove once and for all doubts about what you really like and eat in Brazil.

And when we talk about typical Brazilian food, one usually thinks of generous casters of meat, farofa, beans with rice and picanha. Right?! What no one knows for sure where, or how, this generalisation arose, since, ironically, the best picanhas that can be eaten in Brazil are imported from Argentina.

The truth is that Brazilian cuisine, at least in Portugal, needs to know new dishes and new flavours and show that it is rich, varied and that it differs in each region. It was indeed time for Portugal to "rediscover" Brazil.

And it is in this context of countless and very tasty gastronomic possibilities, of a true immersion in what is much more than just the country of Carnival, than Quiçá! Arises with the proposal of authentic Brazilian cuisine, full of soul and identity.

"We want to remember that unique flavour of home food, we want to tell the story of each dish so that those who have never tried it know that behind the food there is a social, cultural and even subsistence narrative. Food is, after all, the heritage of a people", Chef Fred Frank adds.

The restaurant is located at Rua 24 de Julho, 110. This soft opening is open to dinners and has 40 seats available. The decoration of the restaurant was in charge of architect Lia Braga and has a centrepiece by plastic artist Elisabete Marques, who gives a touch of colour and "home" to the space, with the miniature reproduction of a favela.

The average amount per person is 30 euros and there are vegan and vegetarian options.
