Thai Festival Lisbon is an event organised by the Embassy of Thailand in Portugal in partnership with the Thai Tourism Authority (TAT). For three days at Jardim Vasco da Gama (next to the Thai Pavilion), in Belém, and is part of the cultural agenda of the Lisbon Festivities, this June.
Best of all, with free admission. The inauguration was on June 24 at 12:30 pm, at a ceremony attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Portugal, Krongkanit Rakcharoen, and the mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas.
The space of Jardim Vasco da Gama was occupied with several tents where there was no shortage of gastronomic notes of the main Thai restaurants in Portugal, Thai massages, handicrafts, Story Tellers, Carving workshops, Origami and umbrella painting, as well as games for children.
On the main stage, placed next to the Thai Pavilion, we had the opportunity to enjoy dance shows, Muay Thai, Thai Country Music, parades of traditional costumes and debates about Thai culture.
