Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves House-Museum

More this #tip for museum lovers!

The Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves House-Museum is located in Lisbon, on Avenida 5 de Outubro.

It is a museum space in the city of Lisbon where the collection gathered by the medical collector António Anastácio Gonçalves is exhibited.

The set of around 3,000 works of art comprises three large groups: Portuguese painting from the 19th and 20th centuries, Chinese porcelain and Portuguese and foreign furniture.

There are also important centers of civil and sacred jewellery, European painting, Portuguese sculpture, European ceramics, textiles, numismatics, medals, glass and Swiss and French-made pocket watches.

In addition to the works collected by the collector, the House-Museum contains a significant documentary collection and a set of drawings, watercolors and small artefacts belonging to the collection of the painter Silva Porto.

Mobiliário da Coleção

In this month's Brief Meeting, the pieces of furniture from the collection exhibited there continue to have a special highlight! With the opening of the school year and, for many, with the return to work, they are introducing the Singing Chair or Secretary. It's worth visiting, especially with this #special #tip below:
